Mandy Moore Marries Taylor Goldsmith in a Secret Wedding.
The "This Is Us star" tied the knot to musician Taylor Goldsmith in a private wedding ceremony in Los Angeles on Sunday November 18th, E! News exclusively reports.
The couple had "an intimate backyard wedding at Mandy's home that started just after sundown," a source told E!. There were only about 50 guests at the secret event, including the couple's families and close friends, according to the insider.
Although the wedding wasn't a big spectacle, Moore and Goldsmith's nuptials were still a stylish affair. The aesthetic was "very boho," with rugs on the floor surrounding the altar and feathers in the flower arrangements.
After the backyard wedding, the guests went to Fig House in LA's Highland Park for the reception. The food was catered by Room Forty, and although there was no formal dinner, there were a "number of food stations around the venue, including meat, chicken, vegetarian, raw food, flat bread, cheese and charcuterie and more.
Moore's This Is Us costars Sterling K. Brown, Milo Ventimiglia, and Christy Metz were in attendance. Stars Minka Kelly and Wilmer Valderrama were also present, E!reports.
In the vein of their unconventional nuptials, the newlyweds ditched the traditional wedding cake and instead served 12 different kinds of cake, according to an insider.
Moore became engaged to Goldsmith in September 2017. The couple surprisingly met over Instagram. It all started when Moore, who is a fan of Goldsmith's band, Dawes, posted a photo of their album on the app.
"Somehow, Taylor saw it and sent a note to me," the actress told People. "We started emailing back and forth, then we went on a date and the rest is history. Thanks Instagram, for helping me meet my fiancé!"
Moore was previously married to musician Ryan Adams, People reports. They divorced in 2015 after six years together.
The first glimpse at the gown came from the bride herself: Moore posted an image of herself in an ethereal floor-length dress, holding hands with Goldsmith, and captioned it "11•18•18," their wedding date. Even without a tag, it was easy to recognize the designer, if only from Moore's own red-carpet record: Rodarte.
Moore worked with Laura and Kate Mulleavy of Rodarte for a riff on one of the brand's Spring 2019 designs for her walk down the aisle. She has worked with the design duo for some standout red carpet moments in the past as well, most notably for the 2018 Emmy Awards. Mandy's bridal gown was originally shown as a blush and black gown, rather than a tonal all-pink look, which the brand created for her exclusively. With the year's royal weddings showcasing all things classic, Moore's bridal gown is a welcome, fashion-forward change to the super-traditional mix of this year's celebrity wedding gowns.
